OVERSEAS is a series of intercultural projects launched by Toine to forge musical links with artists from different backgrounds.
The first installment, “Tamam Morning,” was born out of a collaboration with Egyptian oud master Ihab Radwan. Accompanied by Brazilian percussionist Zé Luis Nascimento, cellist Annemie Osborne, and Dutch pianist Harmen Fraanje, Toine explores an innovative sound. Their creation blends Arabic musical traditions, the energy of jazz, the finesse of tonal improvisation and classical music, and the colors of Brazilian rhythms.
The next album, completely reimagined with new musicians, is expected in 2026.
